Help Installing Apps for the ps3

Hi i cant get mplayer to install. I use the rpms. Does any1 have a guide of how to to install it on the ps3 with fc5. Thanx any help is appreciated.

I'm trying to install videolan and followed the instructions here:

www,dubayou,com/vlc-on-fedora-5-for-the-ps3/

But I'm getting dependency problems with videolan-client and when I try to use yum, I get a message about improper configuration. Also, when I click on an RPM and the software installer starts, it returns an error message that suggests I have no network connection. (Of course I do.)

How does one configure a GUI application like Adept in Ubuntu or RPMDrake in Mandriva?
