Guide on how to use AsbestOS?

Can anyone provide me with a guide or simple method to use AsbestOS?

I've tried contacting Marcan but for some reason he does not wanna return my tweets. So I'm lost.... lol

also sorry to steal the thread lol but can we do anything yet with asbestos? like run unbuntu? or anything?

yes mrdoca we can run something, asbestos is just the loader, you can run gentoo, he (marcan) had a compiled version released when he first released his stuff, anyway no graphical stuff or anything just CLI for now, but its still gentoo XD.

unfortunately marcan only cares about kinect now :S i guess he isn't much interested in asbestos.

lol i dont even know what gentoo is haha is it a os? but no graphics? sorry i know but when i googled it pics came up of a os with like a "desktop" etc etc

Gentoo is a Linux Distribution as are Slackware, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc...

ahah XD no gentoo is a distro, like suse, ubuntu, yeloow dog, redhat, just examples, well asbestos is the bootloader that runs the linux distro in this case gentoo.
well normal gentoo has graphical mode obvious, the problem is that the RSX is not yet mapped and there is no driver support yet so there is no graphical mode. we know we do have Lv2 access because the asbestos loader runs under gameOS therefor we have the same priveleges its just not yet developed to use the RSX correctly, that is why only have CLI.

thanks for clearing that up. its as i thought. so how do i run it on pl3? a super easy way i hate hard things.

i don't know under PL but under hermes v4b, hermes released a pkg that will load asbestos like any normal homebrew, you just need to set the rest of the stuf like ntf server or whatever is called this will be like a hdd in your network, and you will be all set to go. i never tried to install it, only runned the asbestos loader for kicks XD
