    Hello guys i would like your help for one problem.I had install ubuntu on my ps3(80gb fat) before the removal of otheros.When sony remove otheros i lost 10giga from my hard drive.I have try do a full format from ps3 settings with no result.What should i do to completely remove the linux partition and restore my 10 giga hd space?

    You could format it to NTFS in a PC and then re-insert it to your PS3 to format it, so it'd use the entire HDD.

    If it's a CECHH or newer then it will ask you to re-install the FW afterwards, but it should work fine. Just make sure to use the exact same CFW/OFW as you had installed before formatting.

    To connect it, you'll need a "sata to usb" cable. You can buy these online or at a local electronics/computer store.

    Another handy way to find one is to use the adapter from an external USB HDD case that takes a Sata drive (older HDD cases use IDE connections which won't work) or just insert it into the external HDD case.

    You might also be able to connect it internally to your PC, depending on whether your PC uses SATA or IDE.

    I guess you're running Windows, so if it pops up in My Computer right click and format or if not, right click the My Computer icon and go to "Manage" then "Disk Management" then format from there.
