    Hi,

Does anyone know if gnash will compile & run on ps3 linux? (AsbestOS or bootos install). I'm building it on my ubuntu vm to see how well it even works.

I'm trying to come up with a way to watch mls match day from my ps3 and of course the default ps3 browser won't do it.

It's probably not worth it. I had it working (somewhat) when I used OtherOS, but you had many limitations - such as full screen did not work and it would crash when trying to few two videos simultaneously.

Oh and the way I had it working, it would only work with YouTube, since it used some special script.

I'm sure there's a better way, hopefully someone knows.

I've also tried using gnash, lightspark all the other flash alternatives and none of them worked.

Thats one of the main things keeping me from using my Ps3 as a web browser.

Best alternative I've found for youtube to play is minitube.

Yeah I had the same luck with flash alternatives. Oh well, got a refresher in compiling and dependencies.

Why do we have Ubuntu on PS3 when Flash is not working.
Ubuntu is damn slow on PS3 and i don't find the real reason why i had to install ubuntu VM.

    can someone enlighten me?

Well, you don't have to install an ubuntu VM. I was using it on my windows PC to test it out before even installing asbestos/bootos. Since I couldn't get anything to work on x86 I figured there was no chance on ppc.
