    Hey guys,

Followed the GitBrew tutorial on installing ++OtherOs until step 6 on installing the actual distro

6: debootstrap --arch powerpc lucid /mnt/ubuntu Index of /

I get "Failed to retrieve release"

entered in perfectly and have had no errors in previous steps,

Tried Pinging Google with no problems,

tried natty instead of lucid with same problem,

    any advice???

can you post a screenshot of the command and output?
do you have a slim or phat?
idk whats wrong, just trying to help
You could try reformatting the drive and start over.

    reformat?!!!
its not a problem with the install, its a problem with either the address I'm giving debootstrap or a problem with their servers (but i can navigate to their pages in browser)

Does anyone know of a mirror or a problem with my commands,

    I have tried cdimages.ubuntu.com

no need to get defensive, just trying to help

ps: I just redid the debootstrap, so no problems with the server (atleast for lucid). your command (if that is what your inputting to the ps3) is correct, therefore it has to be something else (so a mirror probably wouldn't help) that is why i suggesting starting over

edit: is it possible that a firewall is blocking it, idk just throwing it out there.

    Sorry for being cranky,
I'll try it from the beginning again today,
It takes so freaking long to get to this stage and I'm exhausted,

Are you using wifi or ethernet?
If using wifi, you need to use the enable_wlan_on_fat.sh script.
