ok well from what the last post said. the asbestos loader 2.0 is not ready yet according to kneaw and any package you download at this time wouldn't be made by him. So right now just use asbestos loader v1.5 until kneaw releases v2.0
kha0s v3 debian image is good fast but that is because it uses the lxde desktop environment. Ubuntu can also be just as fast if you do the same thing but takes a slightly little bit of knowledge about linux to get it setup. kha0s img comes with most thing already preinstalled and has very limited space to install stuff. The ubuntu img comes with nothing installed so you can set it up how you like it.
For me on the ubuntu image form first startup I just drop to tty1 (ctrl+alt+f1) and install lubuntu-core, slim and arora. after that I just load up slim which is a login manager and is very light weight and just press f1 till it says openbox session and then login. this just brings you to a windows management screen and is very light weight. all you have to do is right click or left click not sure right now it has been a few days to bring up a menu to select stuff. This is about the lightest you can go and still be pretty usable to a fairly noob linux person.
Right now there isn't much you can do with this linux setup until better kernel support and better drivers come out. For now from what I just know is you can browse the web and play solitaire. Install gnome-games or ace-of-penguins. But it is pretty fun to say hey look I'm using the ps3 to play solitaire.

This is the main thread here for asbestos installer. subcon959 does a very good job of keeping the first post updated. so go there and read the pages for general help and check the first post for updated programs or images.
