On topic - Yes, I've been using it since he released it, and I've not had a single freeze, sanity check, kernel panic, etc. Once it's actually on the PS3, it works fantastically.

I stayed up waiting on that CFW to be released, and installed it shortly after (my internet is slow and took FOREVER to download the OFW 3.55 FW). There is nothing wrong with the firmware at all so why switch to another firmware? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I even managed to give a friend a walkthrough via Yahoo for installing it on his 160GB SLIM PS3, that had 3.41 and jailbreaking. He said the only problem he had was Prototype said corrupt data but once he deleted and ran the game, it worked fine. I had Splatterhouse, NFS Hot Pursuit and GT5 updated and working by the end of the day. Ran MANY MANY races on GT5, including at least 2 LeMans 24 hour races….worked fine

If you have a ps3 slim then it's worth installing it properly and giving it a go,like others have said once your on it you'll find every game works well with rogero.

I think you missed the point of this thread, nobody asked for a personal attack on Waninkoko, they asked for the opinions of those people still using his CFW...If you want to slate him personally then there's plenty of threads that will rejoyce in your name calling and un-founded accusations.

I personally have used Waninkoko's many hack's on the Wii and have never had a problem, so when he released a PS3 cfw I really wanted to install it, unfortunately my PS3 was the 256 nand that was reporting to brick, however I explained to my brother who jailbreaks via a dongle about this cfw and that I couldn't do it and he kindly swapped machines with me, ( think I was done, Mine wasn't even a year old..lol).....

I installed the cfw and it's been great....nothing, no freezes, no black screens not a thing.....I can't wait for V2.....

I am using Waninkoko's CFW still on my 80gig phat. It works really well. I have not had any problems with a majority of games. My Blu-Rays still play. I have no complaints. Even had I bricked my console. It is on me, not anyone else. I installed it, not anyone else.

PL3 is fine when implemented into the FW, But when patching it into the memory is (IMO) when you start to get problem's. Wanin's CFW is proof of this.

So Waininkoko uses same PL3 as other CFW's but its in the FW rather than manual patch.

i have been using waninkoko on my 250 slim since the day it was released and i have never had a single problem. I use rogero manager and every game works the first time. I have loaded this firmware on a couple of friends slim ps3's and they also never have had a problem.
