Just got my new X3max and PS3 Move Bundle
Confused as to what hex I should use and what manager I need..
Specs are a 320 slim + 2 tb usb 2.0 external
I am wanting to play all my backups and homebrew...prefferably discless....and games >4gb
Best Compatibilty with most game backups without having all original discs I guess is what I am looking for and stabilty would be great too lol
I only have the sports champion disc atm..so I do have a disc I can put in if I have to..
I have a demo disc but it looks like it only wants to go online so I yanked it out of my ps3 and thru it back in the box

You can use any hex file you want on the x3max. As for which payload, I'd say use a Hermes v4 or v4b one (it doesn't matter which board you download it for, as the X3Max can accept a hex from any board). As for the manager, I suggest Rogero's, AVCHDMan (MultiMan), or Gaia. Rogero's and AVCHDMan are still being developed, but will probably stop as soon as the other devs are ready to release Unified Manager (a colaberation of all the devs on a single backup manager). Rogero's is going to be more compatible, wherase MultiMan has a little bit of a learning curve, but way more options.

Thank you..
oh yeah I ment payload not hex..oops
question: Will my leds work with hexes used for other boards?
any idea when the unified manager comes out?

please check if your SDHC card works
also every hex allows the leds to work as the programming tool converts the hex for you

moh has been really busy lately, and he wanted to bring the code back to original before everyone started adding all the tweaks and changes to it. I believe the github is created (same github as Gaia) and him and drizzt have been working on getting it stable so that the graphical stuff can start being added. So, hopefully shortly.

My FW is 3.40
do I have to update to 3.41 or is that configuration gonna handle it ok?
can I have both Rogero's, AVCHDMan at the same time to play with and use maybe if a game doesnt work in one it might work in other?

You'll want to upgrade to 3.41. More compatibility, and I'm not sure they even created a payload for 3.40. You can update your PS3 via USB, and there are plenty of posts on these forums of how to do it (search for USB firmware upgrade). And, yes, you can have both installed at the same time.
