X3MAX & PS3GO dongle

Hi guys,

I've been reading a bit about this dongle, but I've not been able to find any conclusive information.

1) Is the X3MAX a devboard that we can flash with whatever from the scene we want to? Or do we have to use the 'official' software?

2) Is the PS3GO a devboard that we can flash with whatever from the scene we want to? Or do we have to use the 'official' software?

3) Which one would you prefer, not considering the price?

1)X3Max can flash whatever you want.
2)P3GO can flash only official software (but there are emails promising future updates for own hexes)
3) I bought a P3go, because of the price difference.

Both have the ability of microSD. I should have both coming in for review. Hopefully, I'll have them both reviewed ASAP.

If so, I'm definately getting that one. It seems to me as if that board will be most 'future proof'.

yes x3max can be flashed with any hex, i have bought 1, should be here by next monday

Yes, just look at their hp.

Yeah, I read that.. I just wasn't sure how trustworthy these companies creating the boards are, when coming to such information.

Bought an X3MAX also. It has better specs than either Teensy ++ 2.0 or AT90USBKEY. Comes with a case. Has built-in USB adapter (don't need a separate cable). Add to this 32GB SDHC and the fact that they made it open to any hex, and it seems a no-brainer to me. Also, it's IN STOCK, unlike virtually every other board. I have plans of running AsbestOS, so I needed the 128K, which limited the playing field to Teensy, Atmel, or the X3MAX. As soon as they announced the ability to load any hex, that clinched it. I say just get an X3MAX.
