And this is the "news" X3max was gonna give today..?
JB 3.50 is great if it is true, but now that 3.55 is out what's the point no PSN access on 3.50 either so a few more games work big deal, there is no mention that it works for 3.55

If I had the 3.50 jailbreak, I would be online playing COD:BO right now using the "DNS Trick". That is what would make it great! 3.50 has been out for awhile, giving them time to work on it, while everyone else did nothing. 3.55 just came out, really it just came out! So what are you saying? You got a better fix then them?

Not really.
If after this, nothing comes out, x3 guys deserve a beating
But on a serious note, how are they going to ensure "protection" of their jailbreak. It won't take long to debug and break what they are doing.
Or maybe the whole idea is to drum up the publicity and make people buy as many as possible in anticipation.
I didn't post to argue my point, truth is I own one X3max and one on the way, if they don't release it soon enough then the DNS trick is gone, I want PSN for Backups and online play is the least of my worries. And you can play COD:BO online right now with DNS trick as long as you have original and not a pirated game

You don't get it.
While different firmwares provide different offsets, they all utilize the same method of exploiting. 3.42+ can't be jailbroken not because of a different firmware version, it's because they figured out how to patch the exploit. While 3.55 emphasizes on a security update, it can still be possible the same exploit that works for 3.50 would theoretically work for 3.55 with different offsets to consider. If this exploit works for 3.50 but not 3.55, it means Sony found another exploit in 3.50 (which they had to block in 3.55) which denotes the existence of a 3.50 exploit which is better.
I'm gona stick my neck out and say I actually think it's real. I also think as a business they are right for trying to protect their investment. However, if this company really is made up of devs from the scene then they should know how pointless it probably is to try and make this thing 100% secure.
Look at the downgrade. Certain cloners had it at first, it wasn't until PS3Yes Team released the unprotected copy that everyone else released their versions/copies.
Protection, meaning for atleast a couple of weeks. Make the cloners do their own work instead of just copy & paste.
And why not support the x3max? You would rather support PS3go, or the E3 card reader? Those are clones of the x3max. It's like buying an Ipad VS. an Iped. Support the Ipad if you want to see more inovations, and advances. Support the Iped if you support pirating, and no advances.
x3max was the first of its kind, leaving the rest of the clones in the dust. I mean, look at the PS3go and the E3 Reader. It's all open source now, what they want you to program it yourself? And you wouldn't rather have a dedicated team working to bring you the latest tech?
