X3Max 128KB USB Development board
first flash a new Firmware included called 'x3MAX_Generic.bin'. You only need to do this once.
- Once this is complete, click the 'Open Hex' button and load your hex file.
- If this was a valid hex file you will see the descriptor data loaded
- Click 'Program' once again to flash your hex file.
- Set your switch and run on your PS3 and enjoy!

this is a shot in the dark here but did you install them on the usb hdd correctly? I never tried loading from a usb hdd but i do know that fat32 only accepts filesizes 4gb or under so for large games there is a paticular way or app to install them in 4gb segments.

The Generic.bin you have flashed onto the x3max is old and doesnt support any hex use this link to generic 1.1.bin reflash with this then again with any hex and that should be your problem done

Team x3max has 2 generic bins. A 1.0 & a 1.1. They say that if one does not work, to use the other.

If you are trying to use 1.1 with your current hex, and it does not work, then try the 1.0 with that hex, and it should work. And vica versa!

- Open the X3MAX Programming Tool v2.00.
- Connect x3max.
- Load the BIN and Program.
- Load the HEX and Program.
- Then Disconnect x3max.
- MAKE SURE that the switch for programming is flipped back towards the center before you try to Jailbreak!!!!

I am currently using the PL3 DEF 355 Spoof with the Generic 1.1.bin (I use the Teensy++ 2.0 hex, but all of them should work)

i have a phat 60 ps3 downgraded to 3.41 from 3.50 with x3max. i flashed my x3 the generic 1.1 firmware and ive tried several different hex but everytime i try to jb my system i see the red and blue light then it turns to solid blue when the screen comes up. My problem is i never see any new folders appear in xmb. i would really appreciate any help. Thanx in advance

-You flashed the official 1.1 bin?
-You tried several hex files, with no luck?
-Did you try flipping the switch to bring the x3max out of DFU before you put it into your PS3?
-Did you try using the official 1.0 bin?
