X2Break chipset?

Hello everyone,

I have a question that I tried searching for I recently purchases a X2Break Jailbreak device and I'm trying to load on the Heremes payload to spoof 3.55 but I don't know which chipset it is so that I can load the proper hexfile and I don't want to brick the device.

So if anyone could help me get a program to identify the chipset or know what to do to load the payload that would be appreciated!

I did, and downloaded ALL those files they have nothing to tell me what chipset Im running and therefore I don't know which hex file to load...

you dont need to know .since it only has the hex for your dongle .

Okay I think I'm missing something... but none of those files on the X2break site spoofs 3.55.

If anyone knows how to bring my x2break back to life that would be awesome.....I was so confused reading the x2break.com site that I mixed up the loader version and update file version and as stated on the site, it will ruin the key.....so now my key doesn't show up in winxp, just awesome.....who would allow those files to exist together on their site, seriously just have one updater version and one firmware version, not some stupid incompatibility to wreck what you just purchased, awesome.

why dont you update to CFW 3.55 ?

Ditto dongles are 100% useless and not needed at all anymore. Just a waste of cash, BTW you do know that the 3.55 spoof does nothing right? It will not allow you to play games above 3.41. It was done for the same reason ReBug made a 3.56 spoof for us 3.55 CFW users. So you don't accidentally update to 3.56. It only stops the nag update screen. And in your case it would do nothing as you will still get the update screen as there is no 3.56 spoof for people still using 3.41 and dongles. Update to Kmeaw 3.55 then you can play every game out right now and no annoying power off then eject/reset every time you want to play. Just power on and play, simply update to 3.55 OFW then go into recovery mode and install 3.55 Kmeaw. Then you have total control of your PS3 and you would even have the option to use PSN again as 3.55 users are online no problems. I really wish all dongle retailers would stop selling these things as they are useless and a total waste of cash.

Factory service mode and downgrade are not useless. Depends on peeps situations

Yea if you want to downgrade but on 3.55 there is no need for a downgrade. Factory service mode doesn't do anything for Waninkoko bricks and other CFW bricks can be recovered without a dongle just the normal recovery mode so it is really not needed, but definitely not needed for jailbreaking. Downgrading does will hold little use ATM but may be useful later for 3.56 users but at this time no.

To the OP it seems there is no spoof for your dongle. It doesn't accept the any hex feature from what I can see and has a encrypted bootloader so that means only the X2 team could make this for you and since they haven't updated their payload since December it is pretty safe to say you will never see it unless the team releases a any hex feature or the SDk to their dongle, neither of which I see happening anytime soon if ever.
