wutangrza to kmeaw –
so im currently running wutangrza (which is geohot + wutangrza + kmeaw patch) v3.55
I have had no issues at all with this firmware, the only problem is it will only run signed packages.
up until this point I have been signing my own packages to continue on with new stuff...
however all of the dupex releases are unsigned and for kmeaw....
I am able to sign most of them, however the large ones (above 2gb) crash when im signing them so iam unable too....
my buddies box is running kmeaw.. i installed it to test... a couple of my games (duke nukem in particular) will leg or chop out (bad vertical sync)... where as my wutangrza one will not and runs fine...
in my mind the wutangrza is much more stable.. but this unsigned package thing has left me in the past with all the early testers...
to get to my main point... I would like to goto kmeaw... but I do not want to copy all of my games to my computer then back to the system & backup my save games/themes/etc...
is there anyway I can go from wtr to kmeaw without loosing these things?
ive heard of people going directly from one to the other without installing OFW... but none of them specify if they are on fat or slim
i am running slim... it came with 3.50
I have also been told that I can go from WTR to OFW to KNEAW and wont loose the stuff on my drive... but i don't believe this..
im thinking it might be true on the fat model as it has a 256mb nand... maybe doesn't touch the drive or something
I need answers!! help!! please!!!!
On a 320GB slim I went from rebug 3.55 to OFW 3.55 to kmeaw 3.55...
The firmware on fats and slims are the same so I see no reason as to why yours would delete your stuff and not on mine.
I went for it, it worked... nothing lost
was able to find the files I needed
ran OFW in restore mode
then CFW in restore mode
then Fix Permissions for KMEAW
all is still there!
didn't loose anything!

If you mean that Lv2 patcher that people used to use with kmeaw in the beginning, it is not needed anymore and it is what was probably causing the instabilities.
