"complete noob to coding" "i have decided to code my own jailbreak firmware"
Sorry but these 2 statements just shouldn't go together, your best bet would be to use MFW Builder. I advise you to read, read and read some more before messing with your firmware.

sorry your right it does seem almost r*****d but its something im keen in taking up coding. and well so far this has been the best plce iv found to talk about this kind of stuff. and whats a MFW builder?

I can't post links yet but if you google MFW Builder you will find it
Taking up coding is fine but your PS3 will be outdated before you have the knowledge to code your own CFW.

If you want to take up coding I'd start with something that won't cost a couple of hundred £'s to fix if it goes wrong (bad flash, etc). Try just coding for your OS or if you really want to get into the hardware/firmware side of things get yourself a willem programmer, some EPROM chips and some sort of hobby board thing that has an ARM chip or something, I'm sure someone somewhere must make them(?) and start by programming random little programs for that, things like controlling loads of LEDs to do funky shit or controlling a little robot arm, the possibilities are endless

no offense but if you're pissed about your wankiko brick and have no coding experience, do you really think you're not gonna get another brick? I'd stick with MFW builder instead of trying to do your own

I finally fixed my waninikoko brick, been playing on it for about two weeks now. (CECHE-01 MGS)

Hey man, instead of trying to write your own firmware, go to the Sony HQ, pull out a rifle and say, "Gimme the keys!"
Sony = A bunch of nazi gay morons
