Hello, I'm not sure if I am allowed to request this, but I would really appreciated it if someone could give me a step by step on how to set up the FTP server between my PC and PS3.. I am a total noob when it comes to setting up Lan's..
Thanks in Advance

basically your lan shud look like this:

This was from the PS3 FTP server thread. I haven't tried it yet (and FYI I'm new @ setting up FTP servers too). I'm not sure if you need to connect directly from your PS3 to your computer, or go through a router. I think you can connect them directly:
Install the PS3 FTP server .pkg on your PS3
Launch PS3 FTP app and press Start FTP service(Take note of your PS3's IP)
Launch FileZilla
Enter PS3's IP in "Host" area
Do not enter any username or password
Enter port as 21
Press quick connect

Remember to disable passive mode in the connection settings in FlashFXP / or whatever FTP program you'll be using.

Thanks for all the help guys. I got this working.
I have just connected my PS3 to my router, I only get 20Mb/s if I am lucky.
My question is can I connect my PS3 directly to my PC?
Cheers

Wired is alot faster than wireless. Just hook it up to your router.
