Is it worth upgrading above 3.55 (Kemeaw) if all new games are now working on 3.55?

as far as packages not install is concerned its not that you have to repackage then with 4.21 keys alot of ppl think you do but thats not the case the reason they wont install is because there signed for 3.55 all you do is unpack them and repack them and dont finalize them (package_finalize.exe) leave them with no drm and then they will install even if its a 3.55 homebrew app

I was in the same boat as you. I had Kmeaw up until a week ago. I just went to Rebug 4.21 with the 4.30 spoof. Had not a single problem accept for Dead or Alive 5, but I am sure it's an easy fix.
I was happy because I didn't have to go through every game I had and get the eboot individual eboot fix. I had the TB dongle but just about every game got fixed so I just went to 4.21 CFW rather than D/Ling each fix.
The only draw back is having to fix the eboots with anything that gives you a 8007001 error, but its rather easy, you just drag and drop the eboot on to a .bat file and it signs it to 4.21

like a poster said earlier, if you havea lot of psn content, don't go to 4.2 cfw, not only do to the previous issue (signing each game to 4.21), but having to setup reactpsn on you3 3.55 first to get your idps and then hoping you did everything right and it carrys over to 4.21 ok.

All in all its not that big of a deal if you don't like it, you can always go back to kmeaw with the 999 downgrader. But if you havea big hard drive i know it can be a pain.

Thank you all for all your comments. I was dying inside wanting to update, since we have been waiting for so long for a new cfw. But kmeaw still works fine, so I suppose it will be time to upgrade when we see in the news that is officially recommended, or when there are no more patches for 3.55.

just update its easy to patch something to 4.21 if you need to but with games i havnt had to patch one yet, well i had to patch 1 game but thats because it required fw 4.25 i think it was

Honestly I like the 4.21 CFW I'm on better than Kmeaw when I had it. It seems to have no slow dpwnx compared to OFW. I have had tons of hangs here and there on kmeaw in the past (but still loved it). the variety of things you can do with Rebug to is mainly what i like. I would check out the new rebug release for 3.55(.3). I am not saying that the other 4.21 cfws are bad, just haven't tried them.
I see what you mean though, you really wouldn' benefit from it much if everthing is working how you like it and not having problems with your games.

I've been hearing good comments for the latest versions of the new cfw. But even though I am tempted to install one, I believe there are updates to come. Installing even an ofw is risky more a cfw. And I don't want to install one in order to find out a new version is released. For example:
I read good comments for ErmaC 4.30. That is at version 1.3. But it has a bug about folder sorting. That makes me think a version 1.4 is on the works.
Rebug 4.21: Excellent comments. Some even say is the one recommended by Deank. But I suppose a Rebug 4.30 is on the way.
Rogero 4.30: Is at version 1.04. This one has been changed to much, that I would not be surprise to see a version 1.05 tomorrow.
And so on. I don't want to be updating, just to realize that I need to go back to 3.55 in order to install another version of a new cfw. Anyway I am glad they are working on this since I honesty thought for a while that sadly the scene was dead.
