Have you checked the md5 to make sure your download was not altered during the download process?
md5??
is there anyway i can get it out of the update loop, it installed it off the usb, but is failing at 61% with that code when running the update
says i have to unplug the ps3 then turn it back on where it runs the update again
8002f14e is typically a tech issue with PS3. (for example: bluray drive)
either way how are you installing it and from what firmware?
issue is due to the ps3 not having a correct bd drive.
got it working the bd ribbon was loose![]()
installed the toolbox, but when i click on it i just get a black screen
check the blu ray cable, blutooth board cable and if it still fails try formating hdd in a pc. its a hardware/lose cable fault some where pal pretty sure 60/70% haults usually b/r
99% usually hdd and i think 29%< bluetooth board if i remember rightly. garyopa over a ps3crunch can tell you what every percentage/fails are
sorry missed the fact that you actually solved it. i have just installed rogero 4.30 and rebug tool box works fine for me, is it just the toolbox that black screens? try another app or download a demo see if they work. i assume your br drives working ok?
no the bd drive is a working one but off a different machine also black screen on multiman
