Does anyone know if it's possible to use dosbox for PS3 to run Windows 95 then mount a folder on the PS3 harddrive, thanks

I know you can do it on the PSP version of DosBox. It took a long time to load, but you could load 3.1, 95, or 98 with relative ease and could access the contents of your memory card. It might be worth looking into, but I don't know how Win95/98 will handle the internal PS3 hard drive because the PS3 uses encrypted SPUFS formatting for the drive instead of FAT32/NTFS. I know there are stripped down versions of 95/98 for the psp called win95.img and win98.img (and I think win31.img for Windows 3.1 and I think even winxp.img for an extremely stripped down XP) but I don't know if they can still be found with the current state of file servers I'd check torrent sites and do a file scan for those 2 files to get started if you wanted to work on it. Also check Hiren's boot cd for mini-xp which is an extremely stripped down but functional version of XP that can be booted from USB drives which means you wouldn't have to do the disc installation. That you may just have to figure out the display and sound drivers for the PS3 and integrate them

@bitsbubba - good link to the topic, but bad link cuz megaupload is dead and buried. Might have to get a hold of samson over at ps3hax to see if it can be found elsewhere but it looks good
Thanks for the info guys, yep bitsbubba's link was dead but I ended up finding a non-megaupload link, I'm gonna just try that for now it looks promising

if you got a 3.55 non megaupload link would you mind sharing it. I would like to check it out too
BahumatLord I got it at the bottom of this page WinDos Final Released
Bitsbubba thanks heaps for that, it would of been perfect if it was win95 but it's 3.1 lol, I've tried using the win95.img and it works ok but really slow which doesn't bother me but it's very restrictive, I'll have to do more reasearch on dosbox me thinks. Or maybe just get the maker of WinDos to do it for me, hehe

thanks guys. @bitsbubba - I don't think they let you direct link their downloads. I got a invalid security token message
