I was wondering if it would be possible to use the above method so I would not have to invest on an external HDD for the PS3 ///////////////////
The xbox drive i was using as a normal external pc Hard drive and it was recognised fine and had files in it/////////////

I only used the xbox tranfer kit and plugged it into a pc usb slot but when I put it in my PS3 its not being recognised //////

    Its currently formatted to NTFS///////////////////
If I format it to FAT32 would the PS3 be able to see all of it or would it just see 4GB?/////////////

    Any ideas ?/////////////

Please excuse the slashes /// as if I put a fullstop in my sentence I'm being told that I have posted a link !!!!

I guess it would work because it's a normal hard drive. Just Format it ti FAT32 and you get the whole HDD Space

Rememer if you are on windows you will need a program to format to FAT32, as Windows will not allow you to format a FAT32 that large. I use EASEUS Partition Manager.
