    You forgot the option for some kind of CFW or Fw-Loader etc...

    I suspect it will be playable.
    Make sure you butter the non reflective side of your CD's / DVD's and Blu-Rays so that when you drop them, they land butter side down thus preventing scratches.

    It's set to come out November 2nd... So yes we will be playing it before Christmas.

    Not a chance in hell, this will be the one which breaks most of the scene community in the same way that GTA:LCS did on the PSP.

    Doesn't it require some sort of online activation anyway?

    I'm thinking "too early" for custom firmware......

    the question stands.

    Maybe the updateable is easy to remove?

    Like manually editiing region codes on BD Movie config files?

    I'm sure crackers in the 90's had a harder than todays, "RipNUpload" boys......... just a thought?

    yeah if it required online activation I would never have bought it regardless of homebrew on the PS3.

    I play console games so I can get away from that crap that is plaguing PC games.

    in three months time, I would be amazed if the PS3 homebrew scene has stagnated and we are still using v1.0b of a FTP server etc...

    Three months is a heck of a long time in a fresh and new homebrew environment

    I believe it was something to do with a project $10-style initiative which a friend was telling me about last weekend and I thought the same in that not everybody uses online on their PS3 or has the internet but apparently it's true.

    If I manage to get a source link from him then I'll post it here.
