can i use 3.15? or do i need to have the firmware at 3.41? i haven't logged on to the PSN in months lol

yes update to fw 3.41 but dont update via psn ull get 3.50, then its game over for now on 3.50. download 3.41 and put the PS3UPDAT in sub folders PS3/UPDATE(has to be uppercase) put on pen drive and update via usb of ps3. ur good to go on all dongles.

You can still stay on 3.15 if you want. PL3 works on it just find a dongle that lets you flash with what you want or has updates for the 3.15 5support.

So if you stay at 3.15, is there any way to play games that require 3.40 firmware? NHL 2011 is one example that I know of that says it needs 3.40.

Honestly I do not know. I am on 3.41 and I guess since we cannot play 3.42 games on 3.41 then same applies for 3.15 and 3.40 games. I might be wrong so someone on 3.15 will reply you.
