Will be a fix of Waninkoko for the old PS3?
Will be a fix of Waninkoko for the old PS3? –
so will be a fix for those who have old ps3 on 256MB?
Waninkoko already working on it, but when will he find solution? Only god knows. For this time all users of PS3<= CECHG stay away from this CFW.
I think fluke's method is going to be the one that's permanently implemented. Right now it doesn't change the size of lv2 and gives dev's access to the memory to do whatever they want with it. Whether that be to implement a syscall to load backups, or anything else you can think of doing while having access to it. Anyway, nothing against Waninkoko, but I just don't see his way staying around unless he fixes all sorts of issues.
Exactly, it's just too risky to implement a change like that (it was worth a shot!). Probably the best way would to be to implement PL3 syscalls through software, run the pkg and get the syscalls you need, this would also make easier to keep BMs as there would be no extra coding needed after every new release of other firmware, just upgrade the syscall pkg.
