About LinkBacksIs there an exploit Geohot used to create his PUP that he hasn't shared with the community? Is it a lack of skills on the parts of Kmeaw, Hermes, Waninkoko, et al? Too time consuming?
The reason I ask is, Geohot's CFW was just so straightforward to install; download copy the PUP (~5mb), run System Update. With the others it's download OFW PUP (~170MB), download the patcher, patch PUP, copy and update. The latter method isn't so accessible for people who don't really know what they're doing, which is a pain in the ass for me because I have to install CFW on several of my friend's PS3s.

01-24-2011,05:23 AMGeohots was all his own work and no sony code, the others would contain Sony's code.
Make sure you butter the non reflective side of your CD's / DVD's and Blu-Rays so that when you drop them, they land butter side down thus preventing scratches.
