where to buy a ps3 with ofw 3.55 or below

iv been looking into buying a ps3 on 2nd hand market with ofw 3.55 or below but not been having much luck all 3.56 so far. any body have ideas?

when did 3.56 come out? if i cant get a 2nd hand and was gonna get a new one, how can i make sure its 3.55 or below?
is there anything on the box that would that me know?

Pawn shops / Gamestop. That's where I've been getting mine. They have a 30 day return period. If it doesn't have the firmware you want, return it w/ the excuse that you were looking for one with 3.15. They don't need to know the truth.

Anything below or equal to 3.55 will work. If it's on 3.56, it's a no go.

I've tried craigslist, most the ones i ask about are folks that played Black Ops online with 3.56 or even advertised "latest 3.56 firmware for online play" in the ad

3.56 came out 1/27/10 i think i know it just came out the end of last month but i just bought a brand new ps3 from gamestop two weeks ago and it had 3.50 on it from the get go and now i got it on 3.55 kmeaw cfw online but i cant tell yah how to check a second hand somebody might comment on here let yah know just thought i would let you know what the new ones have on it for now untill they come stock with 3.56

99% brand new ones are on 3.50 or lower.

the most recent bundle that sony's put out is the 120GB slim with Killzone 3, and psx-scene forum members have confirmed that it comes with 3.50. also, i bought a PS3 package (320GB/2 Games/1 Blu-Ray Movie/PS3 remote) last week and it came with 3.40. so if u buy a brand new console, you will be fine. i tried doing the whole lets-look-for-a-used-one-on-classifieds but they were all updated to 3.56

I bought 4 ps3's 320 gig ones ( not move)..evrything was 3.50......
