So I have made my own PSGroove board - it works 100%.
Thanks to MetalPhreak and others that have posted the easy to follow DIY's out there.
Thanks to psx-scene for keeping us all updated on the latest news etc
Thanks to the pioneering genius's that have brought us stuff like ftp, game backup's etc etc
Now we are all faced with an interesting dilema .. where to from here ???
- Will I ever see future firmware’s being ripped to shreds so that I can play whatever I want .. maybe even on-line ?
- Will I ever see a full blown Linux OS (or variant) that will allow my PS3 to become the ULTIMATE media-centre that we hoped it would be the day we bought it ??? (thanks Sony for fudging this one up for us)
The way I see it - we are faced with a bit of a fork in the road:
Path A = Go forward on our tippy-toes and attempt to concoct our own SDK that will never really be more than a half assed attempt at glory.
Or Path B = Use Sony's leaked SDK - grow the beast that is PS3 - and when you release this glory to the rest of the world make sure it can't be tracked back to you. OK, so you might not get recognized fully for your efforts. They might track you if you are registered under a specific nick everywhere and there's photos of you on FaceBook etc.
The way I see it .... SCREW SONY for not letting my little black box be the best it can be !!!
I am neither for nor against piracy - but SONY has taken this too far
