I mean we all know SOMEONE will upload it SOMEWHERE and that file will spread like a WILD FIRE. I mean I think it's pretty much impossible to brick a PS3 for installing beta Firmware when other PS3s can install it just fine.

It's not at all impossible. They could do anything from something as simple as hard coding a mac address check, which if installed on a system with a different mac would phone home (if connected to the internet), so they know who leaked it, then brick the console, to all kinds of other more complicated checks.
That being said, i'm sure it'll be leaked, but who knows if anyone will get it working before it's released anyway. I absolutely would not install it unless you have an infectus/teensy++, until someone else confirms it is safe.
I would say soon. The only reason they posted about a risk of bricking your ps3, would prob be because of the Waninkoko incident.
Complicated checks? oh plz. If you don't know what you're saying then don't post it.
Nobody was ever able to fully decrypt the PS3 firmware, what makes you think that the JFW would able able too?
They are just using files from a Test PS3 console and some modifications to the XML files on the ps3.
well maybe there's a check going on the BETA firmware that they have right now. Well, they hacked the sprx after all, so they can even add an extra application running on background if they want to.
-------------
Play safe, just dont install it even if it got leaked.
@Simon66
they reversed 3.41 CoreOS and even the sprx file, its not like a simple xml editing or sort of. And yes, everything on 3.41FW are decryptable using 3.41 Public Keys and Resigned them with 3.41 Private keys.

No, i said "more complicated". That is vastly different than just complicated. More complicated simply means it is more complicated than the example i gave, which could still be very simple. Qualifiers are important. If you drop that one word, the sentence becomes nonsensical.
If you don't think they can check some console specific information, and brick the console if it doesn't match some hard coded data (giving each person a different .pup, made with that data), then you are an idiot. Even i could manage to do that.
Keep it clean guys. In my books, you may insult someones opinion(e.g your ideas are idiotic and illogical), but you may not insult someone directly (E.g You are an idiotic noob douche)
I'n gonna go out on a limb and say we wont get it till official release, why would you go behind there back and betray them when they are going to release it for everyone to benefit from.
Aka, don't bite then hand that feeds you.

I for one hope it doesn't leak, I would rather let them do the testing and final checks so everything goes smoothly. The scene is just picking back up I say let the devs do their thing and just support them.
