As of now the max is 750GB because the 1TB ones are 12.5mm and they won't fit.
I'm not following the latest news so I'm wondering if there is a tech geek here who knows![]()

Yes because of the extra platter used it makes it higher, now the only 1TB that will fit is a SDD HDD (using SD storage technology, 3x the price) some had opted for external alternatives, but I just say go withe the 750 until something better (make up up the difference with the USB external) all but 3 of my games are on external 1TB.
I have read one article that said to use the extend USB line to link the HDD with PS3. But i dont try. I think this is a way.
You could always just cut the caddy to give the drive some extra space
i also heard that the 750 has issues with the extra platter in there. i use the 640gb model. only two platters, no issues.
