When will the 9.5mm 2.5" 1TB HDD be released?

As of now the max is 750GB because the 1TB ones are 12.5mm and they won't fit.

I'm not following the latest news so I'm wondering if there is a tech geek here who knows

Yes because of the extra platter used it makes it higher, now the only 1TB that will fit is a SDD HDD (using SD storage technology, 3x the price) some had opted for external alternatives, but I just say go withe the 750 until something better (make up up the difference with the USB external) all but 3 of my games are on external 1TB.

I have read one article that said to use the extend USB line to link the HDD with PS3. But i dont try. I think this is a way.

You could always just cut the caddy to give the drive some extra space

i also heard that the 750 has issues with the extra platter in there. i use the 640gb model. only two platters, no issues.

Cut the slot the drive goes in to give it extra space.
