When trying to rip games... –

Why is it that some times I am not able to rip games to an external hard drive and sometimes I can? I always check if the game can run from an external hard drive. When ripping it stops in the middle of the process and displays "fatal error" sometimes. I have no problem ripping the games to the internal hard drive though. I want to save internal hard drive space, help please. Thanks in advance.

- Might have a bad drive.
- Might be full. How big is your external drive?
Try different external drive.

The only drive you can rip to at this moment is Fat32, Fat32 has a file upper limit of 4.something GB. I believe the problem is one of the games (not total space) has a file over 4GB. However, most managers split the file for those types of games but you have not ruled out the condition that you have a manager that does this.
It will rip to internal fine because that does not have the 4.3 GB limit

Oh well I'm using the most recent Gaia Manager, it was able to rip some games to the external hard drive but not all, and I know the external hard drive is working because I run games from it also.
