WHATS WRONG???

My jailbroken 3.55 is messed up, big time. Half the time its working the other half, not. Its either the HDD or the FLASH, because I currently have the RSOD and have to use that CFW that bypasses the red screen and I hate it. And half the time The red screen goes away when I try the Lv2 fix about 50 times a week, then about a week later it comes back and I cannot stand the look of the RSOD. Also I was testing a patch on my 3.55 for mw2 and it gave me an error when trying to create a user for split screen just so I could test the patch, it was like (80022D90) and Then I went to delete data from the HDD for mw2 and There was about 7 corrupted ghost icons there? I deleted all of them and they came back after I tried making a user again. And awhile back when I first got my 3.55 I installed Gaia Manager and it didnt work so I deleted it and it also left a corrupted ghost icon? ......

So HDD or FLASH or...

Sounds like a hardware failure. There's a couple stickied threads in the Buy/Sell/Trade section for guys that do repairs. You'd have to pay them, but they are both trustworthy

your problem sounds like an hdd problem.

I have exactly the same problem.
In fact, i had only one wrong bit in the VTRM section of the ps3 nor flash, and the bit could not be set to the right value.
Only one bit prevents my entire system to boot correctly.

If you have a "corrupted VTRM" you cannot use trophies, you cannot use the save system and BD movies are not working.

Make a dump of your flash by using Memdump:
Of course you have to install the no rsod.pup first to boot(which have a basic_plugins.sprx modded)

And upload it, i will tell you where the error is.
If you install linux, you could maybe repair it by flashing the right bit several times.

I did that and now i just have to launch the rsod.pkg to fix it everytime i want to boot, it is better than nothing.

its a CECH-L01, phat ,80GB.
Also im pretty sure im going out abd getting 250gb HDD, too see if that fixes the problem and just to have a nicer hdd
