What's the point of the spoof?

I get how it lets you go online now, but most games ask for an update immediately when you start them now. How do you get around that?

If you have an internet connection enabled on your ps3 it will prompt you to update. So the spoof is there so it wont ask you that but there is no significance behind of it.

It does NOT get you onto PSN. You need a bypass for that. But yes most games will ask you to update to get around it you need to get the patched eboot and (most importantly) THE PRAM.SFO (whatever you call it) gotta be matching to either 3.55 or 4.21 (If you are on 4.21OFW)

If you wanna go online with PSN if you have CFW you can but I don't recommend it. Like I tell many other people it's more of go on your own risk.

it does not ask you to update the FW unless you try sign in to PSN without the proper passphrase or PSN work-around disabled. Spoof is there to prevent unauthorized/accidental FW updates, nothing more nothing less

Edit: game updates are totally different from FW updates

Since I see that you're playing WWE 13, there's no way of being able to get that downloadable content on a CFW?

LOL no way bro I bought the game from the store when it first come out. To even get online you need an online pass ($10 bucks) or buy the game new.

You prob (I highly DON'T recommend you doing this) I think the rogero CFW is 4.30 and if you buy the game from the store you should be able to play online with no problems since you are playing the actual disc. Reason why I dont recommend you doing that because you will be breaking the EULA/TOS of the PSN agreement of going online with a CFW unit. Which "could" result in termination in your PSN account.

But overall I was just playing this not too long ago and "trust me" the community creations is so worth it. But dont bother trying to actually play the game online it's too much grab spammers on there. Also multiple DLC is coming for the game also in December is the titles packages for $1.99 I dont wanna buy it but Ima end up buying it anyway.

Overall to even get online you need an online pass/buy the game but IMO it's worth the cash and I dont say that about many Ps3 games. NFS Most Wanted 2012 is pretty good too I am not a DIE hard NFS fan and alot of people dont like it but I think that it is pretty good.
