What will happen if Sony updates?

Hello there... This is my first post and I want to make a question which I don't know if it will be considered stupid.. I tried looking around but did not find the accurate answer for this.

I have a PS3 120GB Slim I'm on 3.55 (Wutangrza+geohot) CFW/MFW
And it has been reading backups far so good...

But my question is... What happens if Sony updates? Will I still be able to use GAIA to run my bakcups? What should I do when that happens? Is this like the GEOHOT vs APPLE cat and mouse game?

Also.. can someone point me in the right direction to make GAIA stealth while I'm using it? Thanks!!

Hi, welcome to the forums, it can be both the friendliest and worst depending on you. Next time try to search as there are a bunch of these what will Sony do topics. Since you're new I will give you a break and tell you, no one knows what's going to happen, we're all speculating and possibly giving them ideas while we're doing it. It's best not to rush to get the update as Sony could be doing anything.

Some people will rush out to get the next new Sony update and the wiser ones will wait it out and see what happens, enjoy your system and let others take the bait and make your assessment through that.

It will be a cat and mouse game. Gaia doesn't have a stealth version that I know about. Rogero's does though.

I think stealth is the most overrated crap that can do more harm than good. Why would load a game called rogue warrior in between every other game. It doesn't fool Sony just your friends for a certain time. I've said this before, log off psn,use your manager to pick your game, once your back in the xmb menu. Sign in back on and start the game.

I believe the ID is different regardless of the stealth, Sony can see it doesn't belong to them. Stealth is more of a make yourself feel secure, but it really doesn't provide anything. Which is why alot of managers don't incorporate it.

Yeah, but it still gives you that warm fuzzy when you have it loaded But, you're right, it's totally not going to help. Sony can detect the hash of their code and they know what should and shouldn't be on PSN.

I just checked Dashhacks :: PS3-Hacks :: Gaia Manager v2.05 and it states GAIA has the "stealth mode"

It says: " v2.05 CHANGELOG

* Reminder Gaia Manager has the Sony logs cleanup since October 2010 and it's always active and working..."
