Rogero 4.30 CFW or e3 4.30 CFW?

E3 firmware badly patched LV0, which means u will need one of their downgraders in the future.
Rogero 4.30 seems stable, only some bricks have been reported on PS3 Phat launch models.
Currently Rogero is working on a fix for some issues with this FW. Personally I am running 4.21 CFW v1.00 with XMB fix by Technodon.
*friendly advice: wait a few weeks, till the smoke clears, u will have a better view of what u want and need at that time*
Good call. Thats what i have been doing so far and probably will continue to hold off for a bit. I have downloaded all 4 CFW's that popped up in the last week, im just waiting on that moment of sureity. I am so tempted though just cause we have been waiting so long for this moment. Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the infor about E3 firmware, i will stay away from it for now
Good advice, it is the same advice i give to everyone. There is no need to RUSH to these new CFW yet. I mean, almost ALL games are already patched to work on 3.55, and if you have lived without PSN so far, you can live without it for a couple more weeks.
Just wait for a newer CFW that everyone confirms is working ok and without bricks. I am also eager to upgrade my CFW, but since all my games are 3.55 patched, i will just wait as there is no need for update for now.
When I installed E3 4.30 the ps3 had problems recognizing the external hdd a few times which needed a restart and when one of the games black screened it forced a format on the next boot. I'm on Rogero 4.30 now and haven't had any problems at all

I updated to E3 4.30 CFW from Rogero 4.21 v1.09 last night. After installing the latest Multiman, everything seems to be running fine. PSN, Netflix, PS Store work fine. Played Borderlands 2 on PSN with no problems at all. From what I have been reading, people can successfully downgrade from E3 4.30 back to 3.55 CFW. I may try to downgrade and get on Rogero 4.30 CFW tonight. I've been kinda nervous though lol. Since I upgraded straight from Rogero 4.21 CFW, I wonder if a downgrade back to 3.55 CFW will go smoothly. Has anyone tried?
Rogero currently has an issue with running store / plus functions from XMB, there is a fix out (which worked on 4.21) thats the one im running myself *the fix, not that firmware*. If u access those parts it will give u a message like "Not available in demonstration mode"
If anyone is interested in the fix, its more dev_blind patches (rogero only released 2 fixes, just for "game") , just hit me up and ill send u a link![]()
This problem is also present on E3 4.30 CFW. It opened up and ran fine when I selected it from the Playstation Network menu in XMB. Downloaded, activated, and installed DLC no problems.Rogero currently has an issue with running store / plus functions from XMB, there is a fix out (which worked on 4.21) thats the one im running myself *the fix, not that firmware*.
