What is the "payload"??

I've been searching in and out and cant find a 100% answer. can someone give me a rundown with what payload is and what it does etc? I've seen people saying the hermes4b payload is the best out as of now. I believe its on the better and allowing you to update games with it etc.

Is the payload the Jb hex we use? Is it on the USB Dongle we use etc.

Im rocking out with Teensy1.0 on an AT90USB162.

The payload is simply what we put on our jb device to jailbreak!

Yep, just go to the Hermes 4b thread. There's pre-compiled hex files for your device there.

Ok I found the thread ( lol not looking for anyone to hold my hand haha )

But I see for the minimus there are two versions, one being minimus working LED and one is minimus blinky 30sec shutdown..

Guessing I need the working LED one, right?

Either will work. It was recompiled to turn off the lights after 30 secs if you leave the dongle in your PS3 instead of unplugging it after you do the JB

ohok, well just flashed it... shits SOOOO damn easy..

Now to choose a back up manager. Hermes 4b is pretty much the goto for payload right? best game compatibility, right?

Correct. Best manager is either Gaia, Rogero's, or AVCHDMan (MultiMan). moh's Open Manager is what they're all based off of, but he's no longer updating it because the devs of all the above managers are soon going to be joining together and creating Unified Manager where all their work can be combined for one awesome manager.
