Hi all,
I'm just curious what process is being used to take the old unsigned 3.41 homebrews and make them play nice on 3.55 kmeaw MFW. I'm under the impression is has something to do with signing the eboot. While pretty much every homebrew app has been repackaged to work with the new firmware, I am curious about the underlying process.
Say you had a copy of blackb0x on your ps3 from the 3.41JB days, when you try to launch it in 3.55 it throws an error. Obviously you could just download a repackaged version and install it, but what exactly would you have to do if you wanted to manually fix it? Is it just a matter of pulling a copy of the eboot and signing it somehow? If so, what exactly is the process to sign something like that?
Thanks.
