    when i get my hdd which should come in mail very soon. What do i do to it? DO i format it first? What are necessary steps to doing what i need to do. hdd is 1.5 tb

    I assume based on the size that you are talking about an external hard drive? Now, are you talking about backing up your system, or backing up games? For either, the first step would be formatting the drive to FAT32. You need a program to do this, as windows will not allow you to format that drive as FAT32 using disk management. (assuming you are using windows)
    I'll do some digging, but I assume someone will post a link to a FAT32 format utility before I find it. (again, assuming you use windows)

    BTW, more information in your posts is always more helpful, just helps us to better help you out.

    You can also use Swiss Knife, and many other tools. I believe we even had a thread about it a couple of months ago.
