What to do with my E3 dongle now?
What to do with my E3 dongle now? –

I upgraded my fat PS3 from 3.41 + dongle jailbreak all the way up to Rogero 4.30 and it's working like a charm.
Since I don't technically need it anymore, can it be repurposed...used for something else? I also have a fat 60gig that's running OFW 4.11...
tl;dr: What do I do with my e3 dongle now that I don't really need it anymore?

So you used the E3 dongle to go from 3.41 to 4.30 CFW? Did you even need to use the flasher for that?
You should use your E3 to downgrade your 60GB Fat on OFW 4.11.

Can't you use it to unbrick incase you ever brick your box? I'd keep it for that. I had to use my ps3key for that just recently.

Didn't use the dongle at all...I went right from OFW 3.41 to KMEAW 3.55 to Rogero 4.30, both through recovery.
Can I use the dongle on my 60gig on OFW 4.11 just like that?
As well, good idea to keep it around in case.

Sorry, I got confused. I assumed you meant that you had a E3 flasher dongle. I now realize that you have an old E3 jailbreak dongle. Just hold on to in in case you ever need to get into factory service mode.

Under what circumstances would I need to generally? What would it allow me to do/repair?
Thanks in advance for the info btw.

I've never needed to get into FSM myself, but you never know. If you update your firmware at some point in the future, there is always a chance of bricking your system doing that. Having a FSM dongle would be handy then.
