I was looking around and saw that some HDD need a jumper to work on the PS3. Can someone elaborate on this? I also heard that Western Digitals Scorpio Blue HDD's stutter a lot. I would appreciate the help before I go spending my money.

You need to learn to use the search button. There are plenty of threads with the info you need.
Learn the sizes in inches. The PS3 uses a 2.5 inch drive.
Learn the connection type. It uses SATA. Not IDE. Do not get IDE. Get SATA. SATA. SATA. SATA
Learn the RPM. The PS3 can handle up to 5400rpm. 7200 is faster, but the ps3 can't handle that. If you get 7200 for the ps3, you just wasted your money.
That's basically all you need to know about they type of drive. Make sure, since you're upgrading drives, that you get a decent drive, like a 250 or 500 GB drive.
