What is the deal with Shop PS Jailbreak ?

No this isn't some sort of Seinfeld-inspired comedy thread, or maybe in some ways it is, but I'm just wondering about this site really.

Firstly it's said to be fake, then it appears on the approved distributors list as the only American official reseller with a website which includes dodgy-looking testimonials and guarantees an order to everyone who emails their sales address before Tuesday and offers a free expidited worldwide delivery service.

So I suppose my question is just is it safe to order from these guys or not?

I was wondering the same thing (even though i live in Canada). I have never heard of them before, they only sell this product which is not shipped yet they have testimonials. This whole "authorized" reseller is a scam if you ask me. It would seem anyone who contacts them and agrees to buy 500 units becomes a reseller. If i were you, i'd wait or order it from one of the Canadian resellers (they charge in USD) and i can confirm are reputable and exist

Well the thing is that I am in Britain at the moment so I would need one shipped over here and the lowest price I have seen from a UK reseller, sending imminently, is around £100 and the prices in the EU are around the same.

The Canadian resellers do seem reputable though so I may consider one of them but atm the shipping costs put me off. The alternative is that I am heading back to Japan soon and I could look for one around Akihabara but things like mods and DS cards are a bit hit and miss there, as in one week you won't be able to find them anywhere and the next week there will be tons of them and the fact that TGS is in the next few weeks may force things there to go one way or the other.

They are now on the distributors list from the official PS Jailbreak site but I wouldn't buy from them right now. They may be listed as a US distributor but they aren't shipping from the US either. They have fake testimonials but that's not uncommon in today's marketing world either.

I think your best bet if you really want one bad enough is to go with one of the Canadian distributors. I think ModchipCentral or FoundMy are okay to buy from and that's my suggestion. Thanks!

To be honest I've seen them listed by a few stores in Europe for less so I will probably just order from one of those I think. Thanks anyway though.

I just know that the two sites from Canada I gave you are legit and people have reviewed them as being trusted sites. Are you in the USA?

If I was in the US right now then I would buy one from Canada for sure. I'm heading back to Japan in the next few weeks but I can't see them being any cheaper there than they are in Europe to be honest.

You're better off buying from Modsupplier or Ozmodchips then since you're in the UK! Not to sound harsh but if you are in the UK then why was you asking about this one site listed as a US distributor? Thanks!

Because deliveries between the US and UK are significantly faster than those between AU and the UK, probably due to the fact that the US is around 8000 miles closer to Europe than Australia is.

I have ordered one from a site in Spain now since the official Spanish resellers seem to be risking selling it at a lower than dictated price so it's no problem.

the listed USA resller is in fact NOT IN THE USA, I have confirmed this with psjb sales team, they person ships from abroad so dont expect yours by cheap shipping methods inside the USA
