Weird problem while playing backup games from external hard disk drive! help!
Hello again to ya all, i have been running into a weird problem lately (well, frankly it started yesterday or didnt notice it before). Ok, lets get to it.
The problem is, I was playing Sleeping Dogs from my "USB 3.0" 1TB toshiba hdd. I had to so something and I paused the game and went away. I came back after like an hour and resumed the game. But then I noticed that no audio was coming out and the subtitles weren't showing. I paused the game again and tried to resume again but got stuck on the pause menu. I decided it was a minor bug and tried to turn off the ps3 by holding the ps button down. After what seemed like ages the options came and i selected quit game and then the system turned off with a three beep.
I left that aside and started playing FIFA 13 (from the external hdd too). Something came up, AGAIN, and I paused the game. Came back after more than 10min and tried to resume it, guess what? No commentary, no player indicator, no radar, no player name bar... tried to turn it off, and turned out to be the same as sleeping dogs. It really bugged me and i tried another of my games, NFS:HP. Same drill.
So i concluded that, if i pause a game for more than, say 10 min, resuming the game and playing it will be impossible. Kinda like what happens when you are playing fifa and you take out the disc on the PS2. In my case, i think the hard drive turns off or something else. Because the game can not access files from the HDD, unless they are already loaded (like the pitch and the crowd and the players on fifa). Is anybody else having this problem assuming you understood my question?
p.s. if this helps I am on rogero 4.30 v1 and multiman v4.11.11
