It's really hard to change the disc and running games you already own via blu-ray player wears it out we should make back-up manager are top priority for the new CFW that has just been released.

Natually people are going to look at that as being top priority in all fairness alot of people brought a dongle for that very application...

But first you need a CFW that can do the system calls required for the backup manager too work..

So be patient and all will be released very soon and maybe even a noob update file all compiled and ready to go.

    So we will see soon

That's why i'm not doing this yet, I'll wait for someone to crack open his firmware and put back-up manager in.

Well, seeing neither Geohot or Kakaroto doesnt want to touch the vsh or make any changes in the Kernel.. you may be waiting a long time. We are still waiting for a proper signed .pkg to come to light. lets focus on that instead of feeding piracy eh?

What you really need is an open hand slap to the face for being impatient and making this post.

Yeah, that's what you really need. :-/

I agree. I look at posts like these as a direct push for the ability to run pirated games. The people that are behind these recent discoveries have absolutely zero interest in enabling this type of hack. I have a 3.55 slim 320 gig thats updated to 3.55 for netflix/network play etc. Then I have a 80 gig fat that I use to play my backups of games that I have on disc that I am not playing online. I really look forward to applications similar to xbox media center and the like that can really let us play all media formats on the PS3. The point is if you want a damn game, ESPECIALLY for network play, go and buy it! Sony is surely as we speak implementing a per-copy licensing system. Actually, now that I think about it, my copy of Madden 11 has a license key on the back of the user manual that I have to type in. Another aspect of the whole wide open hacked PSN enabled PS3 is the amount of actual game hackers that are going to come out of the woodwork. Say hello to a ton of people hitting the one-shot prestiges etc in call of duty...

Just because something is YOUR priority doesn't mean it's shared by any of the dev's looking at the PS3 CFW.

You want it? Go learn to code it.

When will people realise? THE SCENE DOESN'T OWE YOU SHIT

I know they don't owe me shit, but it would be nice to be able to boot games from the couch.

Noticed the psn registration codes also on my manuals for WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 and Fifa 11. You are totally right.. EVERY game will now have these registrations implemented... which also means if you are a ps3 owner who buys pre-owned titles, you're pretty much ****ed (seeing as a psn game registration code can only work on 1 ps3).
And god, the game hackers... this makes the psn totally unusable when these idiots come onboard and spend their whole day running cheats and just anal raping the whole experience.
Really, people should think. There are many cons to accessing the kernel and allowing backups. not to mention that kernel access is the main contributor to bricks. look at the PSP.
Im all for saving the integrity of our blu-ray lens and pro-longing the lives of our ps3s, who isn't? Homebrew is a great thing. People should learn to explore it rather than think about how much money they can save running backups.
