Hi there,
as far as my knowledge goes, I do not think a brick after flashing is possible. Why would it ? Nothing is written into the LV2 flash (or the NAND at all???).
So, we are on the bright side after flashing was OK?
Greetings,
Nadine

Unlikely, but apparently possible.
I honestly wouldn't worry about it though, plenty of people are using it without any problems. I personally played Heavy Rain for 12 hours straight yesterday with my wife and there wasn't a single issue.
I installed it for the 2nd time today (after uninstalling it to test something on GH's FW) and haven't had any real issues apart from the odd freeze or games not working.
I've been playing with Nands/flash storage for a while and the only time they've bricked/corrupted on me was straight after flashing it. So although I'm sure it's possible, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I'm gonna pick up an Infectus soon and take a dump just to be sure though! I plan on playing with compiling my own FW but don't wanna test it out until I've a solid solution for my 16mb PS3.
At the very least you should backup all 3 Dev_Flash's, just to be safe!
no backups of dev_flash, not giving a **** when my trey bricks
final destination
lol what's wrong with playing with your wife for any amount of time? If you can get your significant other to play any kind of game with you I'd say that's one hell of a win.
Anyways bricks could still happen if there is a LV2 integrity check. But I think someone would come forward by now. So I don't think you have anything to worry about. But if you are worried about a brick it's a good idea to get one of the other CFW's. If you feel your console is in danger of a brick, switch. It's better to be safe then sorry.
Lol I wasn't even going to justify his remark with a comment :P
On topic, you're 100% right. If there is a sanity check and lv2 fails, it COULD cause a brick. However, I've been stress testing my PS3 attempting to cause a sanity checks/kernel panics, and I've had nothing happen.
