Wanikoko CFW 16mb vs 256mb flash

So far, from anecdotal evidence, it seems that that if you have a 16mb flash model, your ok with this firmware. If you have a 256mb model, you get a brick. My CECPHA01 (60gb US Launch) is bricked with YLOD.

In practical terms, from reports:

CECHAXX - CECHGXX = 256mb Flash. Will brick with YLOD.
CECHHXX or higher = 16mb. Seems to work ok on FAT

There were some rumours of some slims bricking too, but they may be sensitive to to the need to install OFW 3.55 first before installing Wanikoko CFW. If anyone could either report what you did when you bricked your slim, or if you bricked a CECHHXX or later FAT, or succeeded in flashing, CECHAXX-CECHGXX flash, it would be helpful

two people in that tread state they have flashed cechexx with out bricking , those would be 256mb and would make this theory false

too few success to warrant a green light to flash to this cfw at this point. Everyone should be a smart douche and wait this out.

Maybe they downgraded their ps3 before flashing a cfw.
As we know after downgrading on 256mb ps3, blu-ray player is disabled because of deleting some files from dev_flash3 (correct me if i'm wrong).
It would be the explanation of this thing.

The 2 peopleyou are referring to I think one is a typo and the other isnt cfw its OF3.55 ive posted for them to confirm or not.

120gb slim here and everything installed fine even multiman works!
