I am looking for some information please.
I have recently updated to 3.66 and then found out about the jailbreak.
I have learnt in my research that only JB are out for v3.55 at the moment. Is that correct?
I also believe that there is know way to downgrade my ps3.

You need to be on 3.55. No downgrading available.
Your not stupid, Sadly currently there is no downgrade for your current firmware. I'm sorry, but the best bet for you is to wait till one comes out. Currently we have the 3.60 keys and I'm sure someone is working on them. Also If you want, a good thing to do is to have one ps3 online and the other offline for backups. What I mean is, if you do jailbreak your PS3 there is never a guarrentee that you will be able to go on PSN (( I recommend XLink Kai )) But If you have your 3.66 PS3 and a 3.55 you can both play hundreds of games rangeing from nes to almost ((n64 <--- wait this will be out soon too)) Also some backwards compatible PS3's can now play PS2 Iso Backups. I started the scene back in April so trust me its alot to learn, but as I did. I'm sure you'll grasp it quickly <3:cool:
Thank you for ur fast replys. I intend to wait as like I said I now no there is no downgrade. To be honest I don't play only alot so psn ain't a problem for me. Is there a way to stop my ps3 asking me to update again. Once again thank you.
No we don't have 3.60 keys. 3.6x keys don't exist because the previous epic fail method doesn't work. The only people in the scene that have an exploitable 3.6x firmware are math and his friends. THAT'S IT! No one else.Quote:

Well I am sorry I didn't see them so you can jump down of ur horse now. But that's for the information( people with info that helps me). I will keep my eye open and will wait.
Only hope at the moment is to keep an eye on the infectus chip downgrading threads. Not sure if anyone has successfully downgraded as of yet using one though.
actually it's not a "high" horse, we just get kind of tired of answering the same question over and over (as Mods get tired of merging all these 3.56+ threads into one) It's not just you there's at least a new thread started about every other day if not daily!!
