Using other peoples SAVE GAMES
Using other peoples SAVE GAMES –
ok sorry if its been done several times before, but what is it i actually need, is it rebug spoofer or what?
what exactly is the process i go through? thanks
It's pretty straight forward on a CFW PS3. First you would have to make sure you have a save file of your own for the game save your trying to use. You would have to navigate to dev_hdd0/home and go into your user account's savedata folder. You would copy everything EXCEPT the PARAM.SFO from the save you want to use over top of the dummy save you created. After that, you'll need to boot your game, load up the new save, and IMMEDIATELY save it again so it's assigned to your console properly. You may get warning messages the first time you load the new save, but as long as you save again immediately the new save is yours to use how you like
So start a new game.. save it at first save point. go to the hdd destination and copy over the save game iv downloaded overwriting everything except the param file then load the game up. load my NEW save then save it again?will it allow me to overwrite the save even though it was not originally on my console??
Yes, once you save over top of the new save you want to use, it is assigned to your console like you played it from the start. FTP seems to work better when transferring the new save file (except PARAM.SFO)
ok, i dont have ftp transfer so will a usb drive work just as good?
In most cases it will work fine with a USB drive. Why don't you have FTP though? You do have a custom firmware ps3 right?
well i dont have my ps3 anywhere near my router
