Having read the FAQ..with regard to>

Q: Does the dongle only need to be used once to convert my PS3 to a debug unit?

A: No, you must use it every time you want to play a backup. Removing the dongle crashes the system.

I have 2 usb ports on the ps3..i have a controller that uses a dongle, i have installed back up manager and ps3 ftp and i am sure the dongle is doing its job but when i start back up manager i get an error

'an error occured during the start up operation 80010007'

Is this because i have removed the jb dongle..or something else..i have formatted the usb hdd to fat32 and created a folder called gamez

dude please read the news and etc.. and yes it is because you removed the JBusb because the hombrew packages are not signed and you can't play unsigned packages without jailbreak your ps3 everytime you turn it off

So the real JailBreak as to be inserted while playing? Unlike the PSGroove what can be unplugged once the PS3 is in debug mode and still run backup manager until you reset the console?

well ya the original one it should be plugged all the time but i think they did not ship there jbusb but the others such as psgroove and psfreedom and i think the clones also can be used to boot the ps3 into debug mode then you can remove it

Ok, i went out and spent £35 on a dual shock 3, still i get the error when running back up manager, if i installed it then the exploit must have been working...the game i have downloaded is assins creed 2, i just extracted the files from the folder into gamez folder on usb drive, i delete the backup.pup file....cant seem to find any real solid info on this....i beleive that this dongle can be removed anyway once the system has booted it...it doesnt crash when i did anyway.

FTP server runs ok and it starts..not sure what i do with it though lol
