using 3.5" sata as internal
(I know a 3.5" SATA wont fit into a PS3)
Hi, I was reading up on using a 2tb, 3.5" SATA HDD as an internal, either having male to female sata connectors, or using the Xecuter HDXT.
I know it comes with IDE power connectors for giving the the HDD power seperatly.
But I was wondering, I have a Phat PS3, so the power output is more than a slim. (I heard they had a bit of trouble with power, because the slims use less of it, apparently).
Would a 2.5" SATA internal drive use the same amount of power as a 3.5" internal SATA (would it work with a male-female sata connector) or would the sata still need an external power source?
if it does need power, would a 'regulated usb to AC power adapter to SATA' be able to plug from the ps3 into the 3.5" (internal) SATA drive for power?
Thanks for any info you can give me on these 2 questions
