Use your main account on downgraded firmware (POSSIBLE WORK AROUND)

I was just thinking maybe a possible solution to use main account offline. When downgrading to 3.41 the ps3 is in service mode and all the accounts and stuff are intact still and you can play on your account no problem but when you kick the ps3 out of service mode it goes back to factrory default and deletes all accounts which cant be accessed since psn will be needed to sign into existing. Could a full backup be made in 3.41 service mode then once thats done, procede to kick the ps3 out of service mode and then jailbreak.
After this could we restore the backup made in service 3.41 (where acount was still active) into the non service mode 3.41 straight on top of it so all the accounts will be there and we can gain trophies still since I will not need the internet access to sign into my account

You can restore you system back up as long it's the same PS3 that you did a system back up on.

However your trophies will not be recovered and some version of PS3 will remove the password that was associated with the PSN account.
(Yes I have done the system backup then downgraded then restore)

Even if you have a backup of your trophy folder in your home/profile # (the profile # may change if you do a restore from your backup). I personally copied over my trophy folder and it still acted like nothing was there.

However I didn't try going into recovery menu and do the restore file system afterwords. I just ended up deleting my trophy folder for that profile as I could care less about trophies.

Yeah I want to be able to gain trophies on my account I have so when I update to current firmware and do a sync I will have trophies I gained in jailbreak mode on top of my trophies I already have. just gives me more reason to enjoy the games Im going to be playing with trophies.

If you didn't back up the system before hitting the service mode then pending on what PS3 you have, it may be already too late and you lost everything (save, profiles).

However if that does happen and when you do go to a legit FW, just log in on the blank profile and log in by using your PSN ID. It'll add to the ones you already had before when you last synced.

However by your statement is telling me that you're just going to pirate all the games and gain trophies then when you had enough you're going to update and reek the rewards.
That's what it sounds to me since there's no reason why you can't gain trophies on a legit way and on a current firmware. If this is what your plan is then I hope your PS3 will loose it's Bluray movie functionality.

Me however I did it because I wanted homebrew and possible XMBC port or equivalent.

Me being not helpful at all? Bull shit mate!! The last post you posted in the Sign into account on jailbreak replying to me made no friggin sense.

I did however did tell you the answer, just because YOU didn't want to read that it wasn't possible doesn't mean I didn't help.

Heck I even told you that even with a blank account once you update and log into your PSN ID, the new trophies will merge with the ones you had.

Taking your time to help me is very much apreciated but I did not like being called a pirate. yes to you I could be a pirate but you should not of really used my thread to say that to be fair.
