Upgrading a 3.60 PS3's HDD, a Question Please

So I heard of some horror stories of 3.56 users trying to do an upgrade to their HDD and it bricking the system some how. Then Sony releases a silent v2 kinda like 3.41's silent v2, anyhow back on track. From what I recall reading was even the v2 didn't fix this problem but there was more to it than that I also recall but just not what. So I ask you has this been fixed for someone say I don't know maybe me with a 3.60 slim that I want to add a new HDD to as it is slammed pack full of PSN content and XviDHD rips of various movies. Is there any danger to me if I install this 1tb into my slim PS3? Yes you can do it but you have to do some cutting folks so please none of those comments. And anyone who leaves one without reading this gets smacked with a trout for being poorly educated PS3 user. :crazy:

You can say it is in did an horror story :rant: and i m one of the users that are stuck in 3.56 level 1 waiting, waiting and waiting for a solution, did i say waiting?

So any one know if I can upgrade my HDD?

I have a PS3 with a 500 gb Scoprio Blue that is on 3.60. It is a b/c phat model, that I have kept updated. I installed the drive right after 3.42 had come out, and just days (I think it was one day!) before I heard about the "PS Jailbreak", so it has since seen 3.50, 3.55, NO 3.56, and finally, 3.60. They said they fixed it with the 3.60 last I heard, but I could be wrong.

Basically the exact same model I am going to do it on, I mean why would they want to remove the ability to upgrade your HDD?

They wanted to remove the Jailbreak, Downgrade, and CFW. They made sacrifices in order to make it "safe" again, I guess. Like I said, it made me NOT update to 3.56, because 3.56 was only a security patch, and there were reports of the failure with the interal hard drives. After 3.60 came out, I looked around, and saw no one complaing anymore, so I updated, and signed all their new aggrements.

Yea I already signed the new TOS as i am already on 3.60 just want to upgrade the HDD only.
