Hi guys after a kind of poll. I am seriously considering upgrading from 3.55 to 4.3x cfw. But which firmware is better recommended? Rogero? Or rebug? I want to use multiman so that has to be a consideration. Please let me know your opinions.

    Cheers

Rogero has a stock xmb like kmeaw.. Where as Rebug has red icons instead of blue..it has extra folders chillin on the XMB for no reason, it has pop up messages when you exit things sometimes...You can unlock trophies which you didn't earn, you can add a fake plus sign to your psn id. That's about the only differences really. I'd recommend Rogero if you like the original look of the XMB Here's a link Rogero_CEX_4.30_v2.05.PUP if you want the other stuff go with rebug

game compatibility is same on both cfw. just as Griff has said the difference is the color of icons on XMB. rebug can lock/unlock trophies and can also delete the trophy entry of a game. i installed rebug over rogero today because of the package manager that rebug has.

You can disable the messages on Rebug firmware...
Also, I think Rebug has lot of extras and more stable...
Like the PS2 Classics compability or PSN games...
Or changing the ownership of save files...
(I have lost some and get back with Rebug)

You can check all of that features from Codename: REBUG

*Note : I'm still using Rebug 3.55.4 and I don't need the upgrade.
Cause 3.55 CFW's are more stable than 4.30-4.31 CFW's and I don't need to downgrade if I want to use another CFW (like higher cfw's)...

    I would recommend Rebug 4.30.1

What I don't like with Rogero's CFW is the fact that Install Package Files is no longer standalone on the XMB. You have to select [app_home/PS3_GAME] for it to change to IPF (or Toolbox) and if you have loaded a Game, you have to restart the PS3 again to have "ToolBox" back on XMB which feels to me like a workaround rather than a proper fix. You have to manually install dean's IPF to have it permanently on the XMB.

On the other hand, Rebug have Package Manager (which is better than IPF) permanently on the XMB out of the box.
