updating to 3.70?

I am currently on KMEAW fw and am thinking about updating to 3.70 ofw. However I obviously have many unauthorised programs such as multiman and ftp tools on my HDD. what would be the best way of removing all unofficial programs before I update? I don't want to get banned if I leave something accidentally on my HDD. Thanks.

I am such a dufus, anyway one more question. Is it possible to backup copy protected saves for games like Demons Souls? I really dont feel like starting the game again. Thanks.

on a hacked console yes, but I don't know if you can put them back on OFW (I remeber reading something about unlocking saves but you'll have to search for it cause I don't keep up on stuff like that [I've wiped out my saves so many time I just start over when I play])

Hi shadow1. I'm in the same boat, but have a slightly different spin on this question.

I am in a position where I have had kmeaw installed, like you, and played a load of games off the internal HDD using Multiman. I have earned a whole bunch of trophies on these games and would like to retain these trophies when I upgrade to 3.7OFW. If I format my drive, I'm going to lose all of these.

Is there any way to achieve this?

maybe:

1. instal 3.55 ofw with system recovery
2. format hdd with pc
3. update to 3.70

and does anyone know if it is save to use your gamesaves made in cfw in ofw?

if you format your HDD game saves and trophies are gone, ttake your chances by getting rid of all homebrew (delete un-install), install OFW 3.55 update to 3.72 (what will they do ban you because un-hacked your console and went legit, THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT your money)
